‘Korean Extraordinaire Park Chan-ho’ returns to youth baseball camp ‘Camp 61’ after 4 years… total of 120 players selected

캡틴토토Park Chan-ho, South Korea’s first major leaguer to host a charity baseball camp for youth, the future of Korean baseball, every year since 2011, is hosting his first youth baseball camp in four years, Camp 61.

This year’s slogan for the camp, which is announced with a new slogan each year, is “The Korean Express,” a nickname for Park Chan-ho, who made his mark on the world’s biggest stage with his hard-hitting fastball in the Major League Baseball.

In the 10th edition of Camp 61, Park Chan-ho meets the candidates for the second Korean Express under the slogan of his powerful nickname.

Camp 61 is known as the “dream camp” for young athletes, and it has gained a lot of popularity for its colorful coaching staff.

Korean Specialist Park Chan-ho and rehabilitation specialist Cha Myung-joo (Korea Baseball Softball Federation), as well as Lee Seung-yeop, Ryu Hyun-jin, Lee Dae-ho, Kim Tae-gyun, Park Yong-taek and Kim Ha-seong, have worked with the future of Korean baseball for nine camps.

This year’s camp, which marks its 10th anniversary, will also feature coaching staffs comprised of Korean baseball legends and current stars.

Lee Jun, CEO of Hall of Fame Company, who is organizing the camp, said, “I felt so sorry for the kids who couldn’t participate in the camp due to COVID-19. I am very happy that Camp 61, which instills big dreams in children who are the future of Korean baseball, will be held again,” he said.

The application period for this year’s Camp 61 is until the 13th, and a total of 120 participants will be selected. The final participants will be announced on the 18th. Participation is free of charge, and applications can be made through the Hall of Fame Company website.
