Pirela batted fourth in the top of the eighth inning of the 13th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League against KT Wiz at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on July 31.
Pirela, who was 1-for-3 before his fourth at-bat, hit a rallying solo home run with the score 3-5. Coming up behind Wes Benjamin, he drove a four-pitch, 129-mph slider over the right-field fence. It traveled 110 meters.
